Ashed surface-ripened soft cheese
Lilyarra® Black Goat is a semi-matured surface ripened soft cheese that has been sprinkled with a layer of vegetable ash before the white mould grows. Very similar in flavour to Our White Goat, the seam of ash contrasts beautifully against the white of the goats cheese. These little wheels display a full flavour, mushroom characters and a creamy finish. They look beautiful when cut for display on a cheese board.
Enjoy on its own or with tangy berry jams and condiments. For wine pairings try a Riesling, Gruner Veltliner, Fumé Blanc or South African Chenin Blanc.
